Location Location Location ....

If you ever talk to real-estate agent, he will tell you location is everything. For us to move to outer suburbs (even 10km) there has to be something. After wasting many weekends wondering up and down in new estates, it was evident for us the new subdivisions are all about future (at least in the brochures) whereas the present, is an arid dusty playground for big machines. We had no plans to be the pioneer who first settled in the suburb.

So we shift the focused to the suburbs which are at the final of the development stage. We thought there is a good chance of “getting what we see”.

After countless hours again in real-estate websites and many weekends driving pass by the shortlisted blocks, at last we found **The Block**.

It was one of few blocks used as the car park of the old display village. The block was close enough to the main road and more importantly it was nicely overlooking a small lake. The block is bit less than 600 square meters and had a bigger front about 30m.

Both of us were pretty pleased with this. After negotiating with the real-estate agents, we managed bring down the price to a value which we didn’t feel like getting ripped off. Unless you push them harder you don’t know what you can get. Since we were serious about buying this, we threw everything we got and managed to bring down further.

It was a satisfying effort I should say, when you buy the chance of waking up to this scenery every day.
